I saw this dandy today. This breaks just about every rule there is when setting up a wood stove.

    IMG_1647-1.png

They broke out the window in the front door, ran the stove pipe out the door. Then they covered the hole with ply/chip board. Clearance to combustables, and the run is nowhere near high enough, the pipe is leaning on the gutter. The horizontal run is like 3 or 4 feet, no doubt it goes into a 90 elbow. I guess at least it looks like triple wall pipe. A piece of wood is holding up the pipe.

And so begins the hack jobs brought on by the costs of heating with LP, NAT, fuel oil, and by far and by large-electric.

About the same here. You are now on the dumped on by snow area, and we are in the 6-10" of snow with she sleet area. I'm not in the freezing rain area to the south of us though.

I'll probably work a half day from the office and go home at lunch and WFH the rest of the day.

Decided to take off for the coast for the long weekend. Never seen weather like this in February on the north coast of CA. Sunny, 60F's very little wind, no fog, no rain. Crazy! It was good to take a weekend off, it's been too long.

I assumed some place so cold that the snow comes down like sifted flour instead of snow flakes, and that your from MN, just never experienced it til we moved here. And that road looks recently plowed so no unexpected blowing snow speed bumps drifts. Man that it scary for me, though I drive a pickup not a big rig. Stay safe and keep on truckin' :)

Snowed yesterday but didn't start sticking until late afternoon, the ground was fully covered by the time I went out to get my mail at 5:30, and then cleared overnight. Don't have enough to bother measuring but probably less than 1/2" so far. Starting this afternoon going into Friday, I'll get anywhere between 3 and 12". Depends on where that line moves. I'm just to the north of the purple above the 3-6" notation. Oh, and in between systems of snow we are supposed to get sleet and Friday morning will be in the negative digits.

Cuz sitting in the recliner is so much nicer than a cold truck.

I've never had a snow blower but for certain areas it sure could be nice. I have a 750 atv with snow blade and a Kubota with FEL. No problems there.
