Sign him up to make some FHC club shirts? Maybe?? why you ask. Oh yeah we need club shirts. Or take the lock off the FHC swag shop door.
They do about 40,000 shirts a year. They have designers and could make 10 or more designs and you could let members pick the top 3-4 they like. Ship em all someplace would be best price, but they also fulfill club type orders all the time where they stand up a page with the selected designs and then people order color etc and they ship etc. Club gets part of profit
Thats a lot of shirts! Not sure on the FHC and what they are up to for something like this. I don't want to over-step my boundry on this subject but would like a shirt or two and sure others would be interested as well. I know the SWAG shop has been closed here for a while. Maybe the crew here can open the doors again? Thanks!
There has been talk of swag shop getting up and running again. Hmmm, I just ain’t feeling it though. maybe I am missing something. I’ll just have to wait and see.
I had custom shirts printed many times for my Superhawk forum. It is a time consuming task, no 2 ways about it, but I went through the entire range from design to printer to shipping. Time spent keeping track of orders, packaging everything and making trips to the post office needs to be considered. The person that agrees to take this on should know what they are getting themselves into. I'm sure after the main rush it wouldn't be as bad.
Just spitballin with a dry mouth. Seems if you find a manufacturer with a website also set up for sales you could skip all the middlemen. I guess it would be hard to convince a manufacturer to produce without locked in orders? I know I saw stuff like this on Facebook years ago. There was a company doing preorder t-shirt designs before manufactured.
Those print on demand shirts aren't the same quality as a screened one. And I can't imagine any screen printer would take this on for someone. I know the guy I use would not. I don't recall the numbers but I had to get a specific minimum to break even, which I never had a problem reaching.
My sons that do this have several of their own stores, and then own the facility that prints (on demand), picks and packs the order etc… they do this for about 20 companies, not just their own example, one of their stores is a brand built around a Viking theme if you want to see what I’m talking about Vikinggoods.com Some stores use cotton only, some use a cotton poly blend which I prefer for comfort truck delivers blanks every morning, print shirts, and out they go shirts, hoodies etc. I’m not sure they would have interest but they could set up a page specific to the forum and then discuss price points we wanted and split profits Eduparel.co is another of these stores that focuses on the homeschooling market etc. but i don’t know if this forum is a company??? Or what profit share could be used for etc. if funds are not needed could apply to get lowest shirt possible to members
Has there ever been a tshirt guy for gtg’s? Similar to the knife seller. Gtg specific t’s, FHC t’s, OPE. I survived the inaugural Altoona gtg with a Stihl 084 on the back. T seller would also have window stickers available. Go to a gtg and come back with a shirt and sticker.
Or go to a GTG and come back with a broken camp chair, some good stories, and maybe even a new chainsaw.
Now I know why it's a gtg shirt, too heavy to ship with a boat anchor on it... . Seriously, I'd rock any FHC shirt. Unless it said something positive about elm.
