I did drill several more holes inside the muffler, and a hair larger, then wedged the louvers open on the outer shell.
I was scared to do too much, the carb isn't adjustable and I wouldn't know how to adjust it properly anways.
Did you have to change the sprocket to do that?

No, it should already be 3/8 LP chain on it now.

I'll try to get some pics of the MM I did. It didn't need tuning, just I just found the sweet spot

My saw came with the 3/8 picco. I didn't know if they were interchangeable. Is there a chart somewhere that displays that information?

The 3/8 picco has a .043" width in the bar groove compared to .050" or others on typical bars. I think it's 55 teeth, I don't know off top of my head.

Thats the original mod I did but things have snowballed and I can't leave anything alone. I ordered the Walbro 215 adjustable carb, did the below muffler mod and the engine is appart getting some work done.

The .043 gauge chain only comes in safety chain. The .050 has more options. It's 3/8 Picco, just called lo-pro sometimes.

Send me a muffler and I'll mod it for ya. I haven't ran it on the stock saw so not sure if the non adjustable carb can cope with it.
