I searched on line too. Searched AS and OPE, found nothing. The only Husky "historian" I can think of is Spike60 over on the OPE site. He was a dealer for years and may be able to shed some light on it.
Found some info on the use of clear plastics. Looks like they were promotional/demonstrators of some sort. https://www.thisoldchainsaw.com/husq-clear-lid-362-365-371-372
Pretty neat with the clear covers! I just shipped out a cs8000 this morning. They aren’t a speed cutter, but they pull like a freight train!
395 I just finished putting together about half hour ago from a box of parts I’ve had for quite a while. 394 left 395 right both built from boxes of parts.
Heck of a 1-2 punch right there! 394’s have the grunt & a well ported 395 is a hoss of a saw. If you ever consider porting, Shaun Carr has a “thing” with big Husky’s.
Sachs-Dolmar 133 Super Barn Find today. In my price range! I think it was bought for and used on one tree. Fella I bought it from doesn’t think it’s been run in 15 years anyway.
