Right...but this thing is 120V, correct? That means it can only draw a max of 1800W, unless its a 20A circuit (doubtful) then it would be 2400W...still well under the surge rating of 3750W of the genny.

Right BUT amps are different than watts when I lived on generator for a month, I figured this out toaster would warm bread not toast it
Hair dryers and hot flat irons would cause problems

my corded electric staple gun used 22 amps but had regular plug

Sorry for your loss. You have really smart dogs. Shows how much effort you put into caring for them.

Different, but tied together. Amps x volts = watts...if you know any 2 of that equation, you can calculate the 3rd.
I've never seen anything over 15 A with a standard plug...no idea how they can do that, doesn't sound legal...this a Harbor Fright tool?

Worked on framing the "deck" of the loft this morning before work. Was nice working in a well lit, non-roof-leaking barn. Making 2 20x4 sections. Easy framing job...but not sure how I'm going to get it lifted up into place. It's not that heavy or that high, but heavy enough and high enough that it takes a little thought. Nothing a little redneck engineering can't fix....or 4 buddies and some beer.

So I just calculated that a foot of snow down is equivalent to me having to shovel a full 53' semi trailer worth of snow.....

Make no wonder I'm so wore out...

I know my boiler combustion fan is slow to start when running generator power. Mines 6500 watt and runs through a genset so very few circuits are even powered. I think it’s more the way generators produce electricity vs grid power. Our generator wasn’t a cheapie either, which I know some cheapies nowadays are about 1/3 of advertised power.

Is it an inverter Genny? Some things don't like square wave power.
Also, Genny needs to be running 60 hz too...

Yeah, no it’s a standard square wave. It’s 21 years old. Before inverters were a thing under $10k.

Loft almost done... Just need to screw down 3 sheets of OSB and put in permanent supports to the upper and lower chords of the trusses.

No worries, regardless we have to figure a different way. Our pellet furnace is just like the one DexterDay has in his purple basement pictures.
