    Got snow last night/early morning.....maybe 2 inches.
    Be gone later this morning as the sky clears and the sun gets out.

    Running both stoves last night....Little one as usual on 1 and the big one on low.....House stayed at 74F all night.....A couple inches of snow on thew roof really make it cozy......

    No big storm....just a quicky "Clipper" that set up just right to dump a bit of fluff.......

    Stove has been off for about a week now, very temperate here. 30's at night, 50's during the day, unusual for SE Michigan so we are on propane with the Plus 95 condensing furnace. Frost is out of the ground as well. Still have 3 ton of pellets and 4 ton of corn in the barn.

    Propane has dropped a bit too. Was $1.99, now $1.69 I need to reel in my 400 gallon pre buy.

    We had to say goodbye to our handsome big boy Woody (Bubby) today. Sad day and won't be the same around here. More doggie than kitty.

    Yesterday started off chilly with remnants of the snow we had the other day still in the shadows and the temp around 30F
    Clear skies and a great time to run MUNCHY and get the barrels in the basement back up full again....

    Ran only the big stove through the day and then fired up the little unit along about 10:30 pm.
    House was at a cozy 72F at 3 am when I rolled out.......

    Gonna get on through February and then get after restocking the supply......
    The plant will be running into the late spring and maybe early summer due to the huge crop last year.
    I want to start the next season with things full up.

    Decided to clear out a lot of the old stock that has been waaaaaaaaaay back in the back of the barn...

    We always run out 10 barrels and then go get more.....About time to rotate the stock.......

    Thank you all for the kind words. This one is tough! He picked us when we went to the rescue. Involved in most of our day, Was the door greater when you got home. Sat by you on the couch. Demanded his share of you dinner. And slept by our side! The best back up alarm you could ask for. Going to really miss this big fella!!

    Already in between the sheets before we get to bed.....
    Wakes me up a O dark thirty ....

    Our little friends are such a part of our lives......They are every bit as precious as our kids....and in many cases.... for some folks....they are the kids.....

    In due time another little fur child may find you folks.....I hope so.....they are such a blessing....
