Everyone is worried about home security when major financial institutions are getting hacked all the time. Everyone buys things online putting account numbers out there for anyone to get. Not even get me going on Siri or Alexa

No stickers on my vehicles BUT
A garage door is usually open
Keys are kept in many ignitions
I don’t know where house keys are :picard:

I KNOW my neighbors, got a 1/4 mile driveway and if you come up it 200 #s of dogs will wake up the deaf and make rest of people in house hard of hearing

The shocks, springs and transmission of your vehicle is worn out from hauling heavy loads of wood

I'd imagine that's all available via your smartphone. The handy device designed to gather information on you and in one way or another, separate you from your money.

there are ways to protect your information but you have to be proactive and seek out that information.
I used adblocker and noscript in my browsers. I run a firewall at home, on past phones I have jailbreaked them to prevent tracking.
Current phone I can't but I've been able to shut down most of the telemetry on it.
You can also run a VPN, get rid of the modern windows OS's 10-11 they phone home constantly.
Windows 7 never did.. *nix OS has even more control.
I never share my phone number when a store asks for it or for any reason. Even still we get tracked .
Certain phone apps definitely should not be used such as tiktok, facebook and the less you use google services the better.
I'm hooked into the google system but I'm trying to extricate myself from that, It isn't easy.
I learned long long ago not to put stickers of any kind on vehicles.
I burn all my paper or shred it. Anything with identifiable information, address labels on boxes etc.

I’ve burned through 2 shredders in the past 20 years. I make sure I get the crisscross style too.

running a small business, there’s a lot of stuff to shred. Cancelled checks and invoices just part of it.

One of the benefits of a long driveway. No one can see my big dog or guns waiting.

I have had people pull down and turn around. Pizzes me off. That's with a private drive sign at the beginning.

I had a girlfriend that lived out here and had a loser adult son. She moved and for whatever reason the son was out here on the lake called my kids name, she ran over to him and told me she talked to him when she got home. She was with another family here and did not know that guy was bad. Freaky!! She's older now and knows better.

A bill has been introduced to change the legal age of social media to 16, I hope it happens. That said ticktock or the other's like snapchat will never ever happen.

Don't know how the age would be verified unless even more personal info was given up.
