Groovin' on some oak tops today. Took a shot of the stump of the tree and then the load when ready to head out. Got the little 400 fired up to trim some brush first and it was cuttin like a laser so it did 3/4 of the cutting today. Enjoyable day

Nice! That's a good jag of wood laying on the ground.
I took 2 saws out today but only shortened one round that was too long during splitting. :headbang:

I ended up cutting up a dead/down 12" dia ash, and a big silver maple limb...not a huge heaping load...maybe level full in my F250 8'...hard to say for sure as I had some other stuff in the bed too. Most of the SM is very dry, ready to burn.
Called it quits at dark...just got back in.

Some of those tops can yield quite a bit of wood, and you can’t beat the size for splitting. Looks like a beautiful day to do it too. Were you able to finish the top? Wonder how much it’ll measure out to in splits.

When you are done cutting those tops, come just a bit north. We have plenty.
