    Happy Saturday folks!

The Amish farm across the road from us sold and the new cash crop owner is tearing all the trees out, many went to the mill, I got to clean all the scraps up. I moved as much as I could before the ground thawed, and then got the tractor stuck twice. No idea how much I pulled, 5-8 full cord maybe, I don’t care that much, will get to splitting and stacking in the Spring. Mostly soft maples and abit of spruce. All for the boiler!

    Good for you!
Not sure about the Amish selling off the farm. That may kinda suck.

    Leyland tractor?

Nice haul! Awesome that you could just drive the tractor right to it.

Well after last weekends two days of deep freeze it was on the snotty side here too, but 2-3 days of sun and wind have seemed to lessen it a bit. Prior to that the twice a week rains had it very squishy.

We had sun and wind this week so definitely helped with the mud here.

Full on slop season here too, but I would've been out after that score too. Stuck tractors are no fun. Very nice haul!

WOW-5-8 cords of free wood across the road from you. That's like hitting the lottery! Nice score.

I actually did the math wrong, that one side of the woodshed holds 45 facecord (sorry but that’s the measurement I find easier to comprehend) and it looks to me like it might just be enough to refill that half of the shed, so potentially 12-15 full cord. When I say I don’t care, I just try to not get so wrapped up in working out volumes, the idea is to just keep my sheds and caches full, then I know I have enough. If I don’t have enough, then time to scrounge more. And like many have said, the three year plan is keeping me right on track, so thank goodness for that fellow hoarders!
