I always liked the way those saws look. Like they mean business!

I'm generally a function over form guy, but they definitely have a pretty cool look about them. Every time I saw one I wanted one.

Need to get the second one muffler modded and see how they do.

Nice i run 32 skip on mine and it pulls it no problem…also run a 20 in. bar for ripping logs in half or cuttin on smaller wood…i think these saws will be gone soon basically 1000 dollars for a light weight 79 cc saw youd have to spend alot more with stihl or husquvarna for that amount of power

I agree. They're already gone in a lot of places. Hence, the reason I figured now, or never.

It was a toss up between these, or another 500i. These 2 PHO's, cost me $300 more than a 500i with bar and chain. Add bars and chains and that basically adds another $250. That's a whole second saw for about $550. Not exactly apples to apples, but still. That, and 500i's will be around awhile I reckon. So, I'll have time to get one later if I want. These won't.

That's where I got mine from, on February 1st, and I just went and looked and they say there's 3 left with more on the way, but who knows.

I know I was like you, I saw and I bought.

The price point is definitely a temptation. Question is, will I succumb in time?

I was waiting on a MS461, but it got sold, this fit the hole in the CC range for me and was what I was planning on spending on a nice 461.

I thought this was interesting. It had a clear plastic handle too, but it got busted.

I bet that Husky with the clear covers is a rare bird. Seems like a few years ago there was a thread about them on the AS site. I think the Practica 40 was only produced 1 year (1978)

There's a clear 346 that pops up every once in a while. Someone recently posted pics on the Husky fb group but this is the only one I can find online.
