Front moved through about 2 hours ago... down to 32F ... a small fire to start the evening off... Didn't start a fire since yesterday morning... Weird... But it is what it is you cant change it... just got to roll with the punches...

I tossed another split in the stove after reading that temp. 36. And oak mix to for a restart to warm house up. Breezy with rain moving in today.

I'm not griping but we've had weather in the upper 50's the last couple of days and now we are at 28, which will be the high for the next 4 days. Lows only getting down to 20 though. My sinuses are objecting to the temperature changes. 28/70. Red oak keeping it warm Mike in Okla
High 30's here and we've had a nice fire of mostly ash, red oak and sugar maple going all weekend, keeping the house at a comfortable 72. This coming week it looks like single digit temps are coming.
23/69 just reloaded with elm and cherry. Been burning alot of elm the last few days and the clinkers were huge and still glowing bright red when I cleaned some ashes out earlier.
