Had a tree company friend message me asking if I wanted some Pine saw logs. When he arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see some Oak on the load as well!

Can’t beat that! Would love to see some of the boards you mill out of that. Did you stack them up with your tractor?

Bit of an update. He went down the mill road loaded and it went fine. Hardly sank at all. On the way out (slight uphill) but empty, he sunk up to his axles. Tried pulling him with my 7000 lb Kioti…nothing…his guy came with the 10 wheel 4wd bucket truck and pulled while I pushed…nothing. Ended up having to have a tow company come and get him out. They were there about 45 minutes/1 hour. I felt real bad. Gave him 20 bucks and offered to work for him for free for a day doing tree work

He already asked about bringing more wood. Can’t be too upset. I can’t believe how soft the ground is for late January

Dang that sounds like an expensive day for your friend. A dude I used to get logs from stopped delivering to homeowners because people pretty much expected him to get his truck stuck putting the logs just where they wanted them.

It sure is. 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground and I heard my weep tile running into my sump crock the other day. That doesn’t happen very often for me.

Nice! Will the oak be milled or destined for firewood?

That's a great load. Too bad the truck got stuck, but it sounds like you both moved past that.

Oh man!!! Just spent a couple hours cleaning all the tire mud off my driveway. Thankfully it wasn’t the whole driveway, only the first 550’x13’ wide area. Lol.

I also leveled out the ruts the best I could. Hard to grade soup.

It’s looking like things should firm up a bit end of next week. The weather is crazy this “winter”.
