Sure, they do it to produce energy here. We had some small scale logging done, the entire tree went in the chipper. Pretty neat to watch.

Maybe not too distant though? Years ago my aunt married a man who came from the UK. On the wedding day, he had a few relatives fly in for the ceremony. Strangely enough, his niece was a lively woman from Bristol, England.

I have a bit of a hard time with relatives and friends passing on. Chipped wood usually gets used for <something> besides taking up space in a landfill. Of course, most modern landfills today recover the methane and whatnot produced from anaerobic decomposition. So there's that.
