Maple rounds

Finally feeling betterish so I blocked up the maple I brought down two weekends ago. Splitting party coming soon.

 

The snow? makes it look like a lot of chips. Has me thinking about a catcher that attaches to a saw so the chips can be used, or sold to crafters and gardeners.

 

Shopvac them up!

Nice to get a saw in hand after being sick for a bit. Just feeling better from a nasty cold myself. Now if the ground would freeze up for us!

500i is still untouched. 400c was the saw of choice last weekend.

Ran my 400 yesterday. Screams with the bark box muffler.

 

Yes they do, rake them up and mix with grass, and leaves

 

Ive seen a tree guy lay down big tarps under a tree he was dropping. Makes clean up a little easier and keeps the chips somewhat contained.

It’s all mud under that snow….chips tighten it up a little.
