Normally, I don't do this, not sure it's even allowed...

But, I'm having issues with Buckeye Tool and Supply in Eastlake, Ohio. I purchased 2 extra Oregon loops for my new Echi Top handle saw and received one, even though the packing slip said 2 were shipped.

I bought them on Amazon and contacted the seller and got no reply, just crickets so I contacted Amazon and explained the issue (bought 2, received one but so far I've not received another loop nor have I gotten any response from Buckeye Tool.

Guess I'm out 16 bucks. lesson learned, buy from a reputable seller or locally.

Just a word to the uninitiated, Buckeye Tool and Supply is bad pizza. First time that has ever happened to me and will be the last time.

16 bucks won't break me, it's the principle of it.

 

I have ordered two of the same items from Scam-Azon and even though they were the same item they shipped from two different shippers.
Could one be a little slower than the other.

I shipped an item to another member here and it took 21 days to get there.
Maybe they are walking with it and will hand deliver.

 

I did. In fact I called them (Buckeye) and they assured me they would send out the 2nd loop which has never showed up. I also filed a complaint with Amazon and left a negative review but of course Amazon never published that. What I found interesting was under the Amazon reviews, there were a few others that ordered 2 loops and got only one though they paid for 2. Far as the saw goes, it was delivered in 2 days in the OEM box. Good with that as the price was quite reasonable.

Far as the Amazon deal is concerned, all I've heard is crickets as in nothing. No review posted, no reply either.

I buy quite a bit of stuff off Amazon because we live in the middle of nowhere and the convenience is appreciated.

What I find interesting is, the packing slip plainly states 2 loops but I got one. Obvious to me that whomever packs their orders cannot count or don't care. I'm most likely out 16 bucks and I'll chalk that up to my ignorance. Not a big deal, just want to make people aware that Buckeye is less than honest in their dealings. I usually order from Bailey direct or buy at some local to me retail outlet, in that case I do have a Stihl dealer about 10 miles from here and they also sell (and service Echo saws. I probably would have purchased from them but their price was over a hundred bucks more than what I paid.

Like anyone else on here and elsewhere, I like a bargain. I don't like (and never have) dishonesty.

16 bucks isn't going to break me but the experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

This is all about warning others that Buckeye is less than up front and to be aware that what you order and pay for may or may not be what you get.

First time this has happened to me actually and it will be the last time. I'm a quick learner, especially when it comes to money. I nee to be more careful in the future and I will be.

 

file a complaint with your CC company. They should resolve it for you. Definitely not the first time I have heard of this situation.
Not with this company, just in general with amazon sellers. I am with you, it isn't the money, it's doing the right thing.

 

In reality, 16 bucks isn't going to bankrupt me I just posted it to inform people that not all sellers on Amazon (and elsewhere) aren't all upstanding and who knows, it may show up in the roadside mailbox at some point (thought I doubt it).

I did open up the 'Mufkin' a bit (I'm a Taryl fan in YT) before I even fueled it the first time and it's a nice saw and will serve me well.

I like having a couple spare loops and an extra guide bar on hand. Makes life easier for me I do like the Echo greaseable roller nose guide bars too. Saves me from buying a Carelton. I'm a firm believer in a greaseable nose, that needle bearing out front takes a ton of abuse. Why I don't care for the new Stihl guide bars, No way you can lube them.

I'll leave it at that.
