Morning fellas. So I concluded my Cigar Bid observation, and long story short, over the course of 7 days, it only fluctuates 2, or 3 bucks up and down. The amount js runs through is pretty much the same no matter the reset price. I picked 5 of the first one that showed up and got a bit of variety, in quantity and quality. Here's my numbers. The number after the name, is the quantity of the lot. The Drew Estate lot was only 5 days and I didn't notice at first. Don't think it would've mattered anyway. I guess now I know for sure.
Was looking through your data. Interesting to see the top to bottom consistency…. How many runs through did you watch for this data?
2, maybe 3 cycles, depending on whether or not I spaced off. I'd let it bottom out, mark the reset price, then the bottom and just for kicks, I'd watch the reset price again. So, I'd see each price twice. Do you reckon that sitting through multiple cycles might matter? Maybe that's something worth checking. Maybe pick 2 brands and let it run 5 or so cycles each, for a week, and see what the difference is. I know I've sat through 5, or 6, cycles on purchases I've made, and saw it would move a buck or two, but I didn't do that here.
I got some oliva V melanio ( sumatra wrapper) and tried one while plowing today. They kinda screwed up the order by sending me a different size but it was close and I think they state that they have the option to do that. Anyway, I enjoyed it at first light but after 1/2 inch or so, I could tell it wasn't for me. Hopefully, a long rest will be for the better. We'll give it another try in a few months. Also, got a series V maduro (san andres wrapper) Thats the one I should have had! Along with some V melanio maduro (san andres again) . These are all form the 2nds selection.
I re-lit the V melanio today. Didn't get far; up to the top of the driveway and a couple passes cleaning up what the county snow plow left for me and then threw that dog out! Too strong and harsh for this guy.
I have these lined up for tomorrow : Alec Bradley 2nd & Nicaraguan 2nd with Maduro wrapper. These Nicaraguan’s can be azz kickers, it’s just a random draw ( no pun intended ) on what you get.
I'm honestly not sure what they were now. It's been a few years. My buddy that sent me the Howitzer smokes the Gurkhas and sent me a few.
A few years back, after making a load of firewood one summer day, I lit up a gurkha class regent for the ride home. It was really a great cigar and I have been ordering them maybe once every so often since then. I never have been able to duplicate the experience but they aren't disappointing by no means. Getting back to the same experience, while in deadwood S D a few years back, I grabbed a Nica rustica and had it for the evening walk once we got back to the motel. It was really a great cigar and I ordered a bundle of 'em when I got home. I have never been able to replicate that experience either. Don't know why as it has a both the conn broadleaf wrapper and san andres binder. After a few years or trying, I do not order those any longer although they have been in a couple of 5 or 10 pak upgrade samplers.
Taking the day off to hide from the wond, rain, and occasional flurries. So I decided to give this Macanudo Cafe Hyde Park a go. It's amazing to me, how long it takes for me to get a decent picture.
