I was just in a Bomgaars store and as I was checking out I saw what appeared to be jugs of bar oil in the clearance section. Finished my transaction and went to look, sure enough! Cam2 in the 1.25 gallon jugs, 5 available but one was leaking so I only grabbed 4 at $7.88
each. All in it was $33.73 for 5 gallons.
I’m pretty well stocked up now for sure.

Blain's fleet farm or the farm and fleet have mystik for 6.49/ gallon.
Yes, I noticed that too. When the thread first was made, b&c oil was in short supply. I didn't need any, but when this thread first started many stores that normally have it, simply didn't have it at all. When they did it was jacked in price, even brands that are less expensive usually. It's much much better now for availability, but I checked the closest Menard's to me to see the cam2 deal Dave posted, and they had none. Supply chains are much better than they have been the last 2 plus years, but still not normalized.

Home depot had Echo for 11 and change a gallon if you buy 4. They have none and the space and sign where it was is no longer there.
Not sure but guessing they will no longer carry it. This was about as good as it gets around here. Have to wait and see.

They might be getting rid of old stock. Different jug, label etc. HD is pretty set on echo saws, so I have a hard time seeing them not carry their oil.

Tractor Supply had their oil at 15.99.

I can get Stihl orange jug at $12.31 from my local dealer and "Platinum" for 16ish. If TSC puts their on "clearance", I probably grab a case or two. If not, I'll buy the Stihl.

Has anyone cut their Stihl orange jug stiff with ATF for winter use?

Ours shows it too but nothing there.
I just found it funny that the spot where it was is gone along with the signage. They seem to always have less and less every time I go there.

Not me. If it's that cold I am sitting by the fire and not cutting.

I do actually have a gallon and a half of the Stihl blue jug cold weather oil. Haven't used much of it. Hope it doesn't have an expiration date.

My parents who have had free natural gas in their house since 1980 have found out that the well they are connected is being shut down and they have to come up with alternative heating by next winter. The well did not pay much but free heat for 40+ years is a big loss. He says he is going to wood to so my cutting is going to increase. $$$$

I'm guessing the well was on their property and that was payment for the lease.

There are different arrangements but as part of the gas lease on the property the owner get xxx,xxx cubic feet of gas per year as part of the gas well agreement. Then as an owner you buy a gas dryer, stove, water heater and furnace and save $$$.

The lease is normally a covenant that follows the owner of the property, but in this instance the well is running dry.
