This is the level they've been at for a good number of years.

    Dennis,
Here is a google search I did on the problem.
epson et 2800 not printing color - Google Search
Also check your print settings to make sure it isn't set for gray scale printing or color printing turned off. Sometimes it can be a simple oversite.

    Have you tried phoning ET?

Sorry Dennis, I know you don’t watch the tube and not sure if you watched movies back in the ‘80s… just trying to lighten the mood.

That's supposed to be a nice enough printer.
Did they have you delete and then re-install Windows drivers or try another print source ?

Every time I get a new one, it just ends up (eventually) being worse than the last one...

Yeah, ya kinda need to prove the problem is actually the printer and not the computer you're printing from.

I used to have to replace and update RS232 and USB drivers because they'd get corrupted far too easily . Sometimes it was due to a power interuption, most often we never really knew what caused it.

I went through that nonsense for years too, even refilled my own tanks but eventually went to a laser printer and all those problems went away.
Yeah they're more expensive to buy and the toner cartridges are enough money too, but you'll print a heck of a lot more pages before they run out and aftermarket cartridges are reasonably priced.

Well, does the printer have a demo print function? Some have it you just press a button or two to have it print.
