I know it's not insightful, but things are worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

No doubt it was a nice saw but after paying that much i wouldn't want to run it. $1000 for a shelf queen..... i don't think so. It's not even unique looking. Just another 350, looks wise. Lol

But...did you watch the video? He's got multiple ones at that price so you've got options...

I just paid $650 for a 2005 372xp oe. It looks almost brand new and runs good. There were a few beaters for around $4-500, but I wanted a nicer one. I probably overpaid, but I figured wth. I probably shouldn't have bought it, but I have cad, so there ya go...

Used chainsaws are always more expensive than they are worth, especially on eBay. I just don't get it and never have. I think you got a decent deal on that 372. Cheapest I have seen near me is $800.

I decided (and told my wife) that $650 was the absolute most I was going to pay for it. I almost cringed when he settled at 650, because I knew it was coming home with me.

If you’re diligent you can find deals. I found my last Husky 346 local for $250. It was posted on craigslist.

That's a deal! I own a 346 and at that price I'd buy another one just have it.
