70 inside. Oak and cottonwood & 3 bricks in the stove. Everyone is home now. …. the beer is still cold.
31 and holding steady more or less tonight. Elm is up to bat again this evening. Looks like the big warmup is coming and Friday will be a good opportunity to clean out the stove.
It's been in the mid 60's the last three days. I'm spoiled. Tomorrow brings a high of 40 with snow. Red oak standing by. Mike in Okla
Here's a thread on em: Made my own fire fuel They sure do make a lot of fluffy ash! I had 36/74 this morning. One large oak split went in the firebox. Planning to let it go out and do an ash cleanout later today. Tonight's "low" is supposed to be the high for tomorrow @ 50 degrees.
Damp, damp, damp here. Probably got 3/4" of rain overnight. We've hit the high for the day at 49 and falling the rest of the day. Boiler isn't doing much. Still trying to get through a load of pine lumber cut-offs from last night.
Was supposed to wake up to drizzle. Woke up to a dusting on the grass. Stove humming along - low 30s outside. Mid 60s inside and temps climbing.
More of the same nice weather here...-13 C and heading for -8 C, ballpark 6 to 14 F. I know it can't last forever, but it sure keeps the spirits high. Was just having a laugh over a FB memory, today in 2018 it was -48 C with the wind here. Pine slabs and chunks for stove food today.
Same here. Our snow got a dusting of 1-2" of fresh stuff. Enough to put down the shovel; not enough to warrant plowing. 30/67 now and snowing. (Haven't built a fire yet) 28 was all that could be mustered for a low overnight.
Weve had pretty mild weather in the southern Canadian Rockies lately. Its been staying below freezing but not overly cold. I think yesterday in the morning it was -14c/7f. Its a few degrees below freezing right now with wind and snow. No fire at the moment.
35 here with another load of elm in the Lopi. After this fire burns down, I’m going to let it go all the way out. The temperature is supposed to shoot up all the way to the mid 50s by midnight and stay there until mid afternoon tomorrow. Got to love these coastal Virginia errr I mean New England winters
35 here but the wind is blowing good got some ash and mulberry going hopefully I dont get cooked out.
34 and rain. Ash in the Wood Gun. Suppose to cool down and change over to snow around midnight. Predicting up to 9” along the river around Ogdensburg and Waddington. Put the plow back on a few hours ago.
Its so wet and muddy I can't do any splitting or cutting. I'm going stir crazy. Tomorrow looks like a break in the rain but more rain over the weekend. I'm not used to this.
76/40 wet and raining. Load of 2018 silver maple in the fireview. Almost out of wood on the porch, too wet to drive in the yard.
