I notice that more (good) people mean the work accomplished is exponential...like as in 2 people can get 3X as much done.

This for sure. If you have a guy who knows what you are going to do next and has the tool/material waiting for you it makes a giant difference in how fast you can move.

They brought a 5 man crew and nearly have the framing done already.

Sounds like the typical Amish pole barn crew...2-3 days and done! :jaw:

They will be done tomorrow unless the weather chases them off.

I crawled up into my attic today as I see some ice buildup (didn't have any last year) and wanted to check the insulation. I attributed the buildup to the daytime temps being at or above freezing, but now I'm not so sure. It is fiberglass batts laid in-between the trusses; thinking it is 10".

Waiting to hear a bid from the same company that we previously used and were very satisfied with a few years back.

Also, there is the exhaust pipe for the range that is not insulated......that'll get taken care of.

Now, I have a double masonry chimney that leaves the house through the attic.

I don't see any reason why not to have that wrapped with insulation also..?

I did that at one other residence but used blue board. Couldn't really tell if it made a difference or not.

    I'm thinking that's maybe a little safer.

Its definitely in a secure spot, I installed a driveway gate 200 yards from the road to keep out the riff raff. As well it keeps the animals in.

If I lived just off the road I'd need a stick to keep away people wanting to buy or "borrow" some. Or somebody wanting me to buy a county vendors permit, no thanks. Its definitely not for sale.

    Good looking out Larry.

Had yearly blood work done early this morning and then got the caffeine going. Then breakfast.

Still recovering from second shingles shot. I Yi Yi! Did get out and get some chores done to take care of animals and throw some firewood in, but now I’m beat and need to rest.

I will be doing inside stuff and running errands the rest of the day.

You hoarders have some fun today and stay safe!

It's nasty here today. 45, windy, and dumping rain. The barn crew isn't moving near as fast today, but they are still moving right along.

I was hoping to be able to work on filling the base with gravel tomorrow but I think it is going to be too wet and I'll get started on the wiring instead.

The barn crew is done and gone. They were here a total of 14 hours. Crazy.

It's a sloppy muddy mess out there...going to have to dry out for a few days before I try to do anything.

You are a real worker bee. I feel exhausted just thinking about all that you get accomplished.
