I watched an interview of a guy on YouTube and he recommended doing that too. I think his timeline was every month, maybe 2, but he said it was good for the cigars to get fresh (edit: spelling) air, if you're aging them. I'm going to have to get some Negras. You tried the Cafe con Leches? I'm sure I'll like them.
I got a delivery from a buddy today and he never disappoints with cigars. I've never had these Monte's and I literally chuckled when I saw the Rocky Patel Howitzer. A robusto is God's plenty for me. So this will likely be a novelty. Biggest cigar I've ever seen in person.
I had this turd today, it wasn’t that bad but I really wasn’t expecting much either. It would probably make a good lawn mowing cigar, the last 1/3 was kind of harsh. It’s a Nicaraguan Cream.
It's been awhile for me; maybe I'll put in a bid on some 2nds for those. Yesterday late afternoon, I cleaned out and re-arranged one coolidor. I had been putting i off for quite some time now. I grabbed some old wood boxes that were still empty and filled them with cigars. Trying to keep some sort of order-like rocky patels in three boxes, olivas in another couple, etc. I do have one of those flor de san andres left; someone had asked about those a few weeks back. A sun grown maduro waits patiently for warmer weather....close to 4 dozen vintage 1990 should be enough (?) One pete johnson tattoo and one romeo julieta 1875 left....been saving those. I also found a couple packs of oliva 2nds. A maduro series V and a MB III. In the basement at my work bench, I have a fart fan set up to exhaust to the outside. I also drop a couple of those plastic tarps and since the bench is in a corner I end up in a 4 walled area about 8' X 5'. Only telling you this because I fired up one of those series V maduros! Yup, big dog sitting at his work bench, listening to blues music, straightening out a mess of cigars, sipping on some of that apple pie flavored moonshine that they sell in mason jars.... And then, I hear someone yelling from upstairs..... "I can smell cigar smoke up here!" It was good while it lasted.
Olivas…. Do you issue with? When I first tried them it always seemed that I got a lot of plugged ones… maybe it was my short straw that I was drawing…
I had another Legends Black the other night before bed and the second one was better than the first. Those are probably going to be a staple in my humidor as well.
Mailman brought me some oliva 2nds this week. Series V maduro (san andres wrapper) and series V melanio maduro (san andres again). Lucky I made room in the coolidor yesterday! I've got a couple more 15 paks that have to fit in there too. After I clean up and organize the 2nd collidor, I'm gonna inventory them just to find out if I'm still around 500 or not. At any rate, now is the time to stock up for summer months. The auctions always go higher then.
Speaking of auctions..............you guys have ruined me with those dang free fall auctions. So it seems they run them weekly, has anyone noticed if the "reset price" is higher, or lower, depending on where it's at in the week? I guess, has anyone noticed if the prices go lower towards the end of the week, or vice versa? I just thought about it last night and was going to pay attention next week, but thought maybe someone has already picked up on it.
I think you may be correct. Yeah, I've noticed that the prices bottom out lower at times. I think once the amount of people on the site increases, so does the lowest price of the freefall?? I have only utilized the free fall a couple of times so far.
