We're having a bizarre January "mud season" here. Snows all melted and the frost is coming out making that lovely frost mud, and I'm really not sure when I last saw the sun. I can forget all that chit....until I stop. I'm under roof but the wood is icy/wet and so are my gloves. Snow, rain and ice tonight. Yummy
Nice bucking table! walt has one on a trailer, saves a ton of bending over and extra work in processing firewood.
We may not have gotten a lot of rain, but everything has stayed wet for days. The lawn is like soup. Or dog poo.
Ah, wet gloves = cold fingers! There are 2 things that to me are necessary to combat this: Both of these will keep your hands from getting sopping wet. The log tongs will also keep you from having to buy new gloves constantly because the gloves do not get the wear and tear from handling rough wood.
Awesome setup you have there. Most of us ( well me for sure) would love to have an indoor area like that. We could sure use that around here the past week or two. Warm , rainy and a mud pit in our neck of the woods.
Yeah I know, but wishful thinking that I would meet you in person. And hoping you were delivering my dream dump truck
Same here in SC PA. We had a very brief amount of sunshine yesterday but it didn't last long. Today it's playing peek-a-boo. Several days w/o stinks.
Sure does. Raining here now. Supposed to stop. I have bundle order to fill later. Delivered one yesterday despite the drizzle. Ran the splitter and stacked yesterday as well. I think im at the age where im starting to feel the damp weather affect my joints. Days of minimal activity doesnt help either!
I at yall complaing about when you have mud. We pretty much always have mud here in the winter. It was weird the other week when the ground was frozen hard. Come feed cows with me later.....
I remember well the red clay mud in the mid Atlantic area and the 2" additional height I'd gain by lunchtime with a "Adobe" soles on my boots if there was any straw or hay around, not to mention each of them weighed 5 pounds. What we're having (up here in Maine) is a sucky mid Atlantic winter where it can't make up its mind what season it is. Got this one done in time for lunch. We'll see if I start another one after lunch. Might just "piddle" in the shop.
