damm......... reading this was like I was reading my biography when I drank. When I drank hard stuff (quit that in 04), rum and Dr. Pepper, I required a very wide path, or else people usually regretted it, and I'm not bragging about that. After that, I drank beer.........a lot of it. I used to say, I drink beer, like most people drink diet Coke, or water.
I enjoy my cigars in the morning with my coffee... especially at GTG's... something about an open fire, coffee, cigar and peace...
No worries & no reason to feel that way. If I could savor a drink with or without a cigar I would but that wasn’t something I could do. I am really glad some of you fellas can get the full experience savoring a cigar & a drink or just a drink. It makes absolutely no difference to me that you gents talk about having drink. I enjoy hearing about what you guys have with or without your stogies. Carry on, I love this thread.
Any of you gents had these before ? yooperdave will be proud of me, I paid a massive $3.50 for 5 of these.
I had this one today while scouting out & taking down a few Cherry trees : These 2 Cherry trees are in the background of the stogie photo. There are several along the creek bank but I won’t be able to get some of them without a tractor & loader so they may just end up sluffing off into the creek.
... Right behind my diesels in short smoke seasons.. I like them... I thought it was you that turn me onto them...
You may be right, I knew I had some 5 Vegas but I forgot I had 2 different types. I knew I had these : But forgot I had these. I vaguely remember having one when I was planting this spring. I now have 10 more on the way, I snagged them for $13 last night.
I got a delivery of some Drew Estate stuff today. I saw they were offering the 10 dollar upgrade, for 10 Drew Estate's, with purchase of 50 of my favorite cigarillos. Like they had on the Tabak Red Eyes awhile back. So I stocked up on those and got 40 more cigars, for a buck a piece.
I had one of the 5 Vegas today, it wasn’t a AAA but it was a pretty darn good cigar. It’s smoke out put rivaled any of the DE I have had. The ash held on great & it had pretty good flavor.
The price was right for sure. They make such good offers, it's hard to pass some of them up. I'm glad you guys turned me onto CI and CB. They have quite a bit better deals than JR.
Just got things put away and rearranged my foot lockers. I'm going to turn one into a long term, aging humidor and put more expensive stuff that I don't smoke very often in there and let it just sit. Then the other I'll have my more commonly smoked stuff and less expensive brands. That way I'm only opening one up more often. I turned my 100 count humidor into loose, cellophane wrapped cigarillos only. Maybe I can keep better track of what I have. Also, just looked at the new DE sampler and it's a bit different than the last one I got. This one has 2 Legends Black, 2 Tabak Dulce, in the same size as the Legends.....smaller ring gauge, but long, 2 Acid 20th Anniversary's (I wanted to try these) and 2 Acid Plush's. Not a bad lineup.
Those Tabak Dulce are pretty good, I prefer the Negras though. I try to open mine up every 7-10 days just to get some new air in them. I’m not sure if it’s right/wrong but it’s part of my process.
