Nice beech! That one log would make some really cool cookies. Looks like a stump cut off.

Things have definitely slowed down for deliveries. Only had orders for 6 cords this past weekend. I'm down to about 8-12 cords of seasoned wood left and would love it to all go next weekend although I think it's doubtful. It's looking like I should end the season awfully close to the 280 cord mark.

Thats insane! What do you do with leftover seasoned wood?
Any predictions for 2023? Do you make firewood year round or is it a warm weather thing?

There is no leftover seasoned wood. I have wood that I could probably sell come January or February but I will just let it season more for next year.
As for 2023, who the heck knows. I love making firewood. Delivering, not so much. As far as making firewood, we’ve already gotten a big head start on 2023 wood. When I’m out on a deli wry, my helpers are busy splitting. I had a lot of rounds ready to split this fall. Going to be another big year I’m sure. Have set a new record each year 4 years in a row now.

Ok the official numbers are in and all calculations have been made....281 cords out the door. Throw in the 10-12 cords of boiler wood and the 2-3 cords I set aside for my fireplace to round things up to the 290-295 range. Delivery season got very long but 300 would have been kind of sweet. Time to start another "march to blah blah blah 2023!" Taking suggestions.

What about Robbie's sales? Would that put you over 300? Thinking he should start having his own thread maybe?

I only cut his firewood and help split/stack some but we put up 9 cords for his stand this year.

Nice going with the number of cord sold. Reminds me of the drives schools use to do. Selling so much of whatever it was, got you in a certain prize bracket. Sounds like you sold enough for a vacation to Fiji this year for you and the wife!

Yes, but I have a lot of wood processed for next year already and the breaks will be nice.

I see the title now, "The march to 350". Sounds like Robbie had a good year as well and don't be afraid to include his wood with yours's. Team effort you know.

I say 350 because I feel you should include Robbie's as it is a little bit of team effort, and if that is the case, you made 300 this season.
Just one person's opinion so take it for what it is worth.
