    Enjoy the weekend! Be safe.

No over the top party here.

Boston Bruins today at 1pm, and college football galore.

We'll have plenty to nibble on. Pulled pork, homemade baked mac-n-cheese, shrimp cocktail, sipping on Asti. I also have a chunk of beef tenderloin to cook up later today or tomorrow.

If heading out, watch out for the other guy.

    Be healthy

Already volunteered to go to bed with my 4yr old around 8-9, while my wife stays up with my son, daughter and her friend who's sleeping over. I think I made out in the deal :D:D:rofl:

No party here tonight. We have noticed even if we go to bed around 10 or so and wake up sometime after 6, the new year comes anyway. It's all good:thumbs::thumbs:

Happy New Year Mike (and the entire FHC community). No party here, just another day. Made some turkey carcass soup last night so will be enjoying some of that for dinner tonight. Will probably read by the fire this evening (after finally replacing the stove bricks) with a glass of wine or some gin (neat). Quiet evening to phase out 2022.

Sounds like a fine way to cross into 2023.

Sipping a G-n-T at the moment.

I really enjoy hanging out on this site with all you obsessed hoarders who are scary similar me. I wish you all a Happy and Peaceful New Year. We'll be visiting my in-laws later this afternoon. Tonight it will be just the wife and I and the cat and dog enjoying a quiet evening at home. I might go nuts and have a beer.

We will be spending NYE much the same as every other winter evening  . Maybe a single malt scotch or two, watching bowl games, tending the wood stove, listening to the two dogs snore and be in bed asleep by 10 or earlier. Try to sleep through the fireworks our country neighbors will light off at midnight and eat blackeye peas, collard greens and corn bread tomorrow with more football. It’s a real wild time around here .

A Happy, Healthy 2023 to All!!

We were expecting guests today but one of them got sick. Leftover chicken thighs, rice and baby carrots made for a good tasting supper.

No party here. Worked on firewood most of day. Then watched football. No adult beverages because I had to pick up my son at his gf's house. Just got back so I might pour myself a drink.
I use to shoot firearms off but with the price of ammo, forget it! I'll save it.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Similar here, family is down the road at the neighbors, he brought chili and they made lasagne and some older neighbors are over there. Card games and the old style "Password" game she got for Christmas, no doubt the preteen kids there are running around being, well, silly and doing what they do:loco: :rofl: :rolleyes:. Other neighbors closer to my house are lighting off fireworks.

Well someone or someones must not have gotten that notice around here... Not sure how many clips where used, but there was quite a few rounds shot off...

Yep wise words... Thats why we always called it amateur night... I know coming back from cutting wood, they were quite a few law enforcements on the roads and that was only by 7 pm...

Happy new year everyone. First time in a few years I was actually awake at midnight  . Friends of mrs piney just moved into a new house so we went over and spent a few hrs with them. I volunteered to drive so the mrs could have a few drinks. I drank a bunch of coffee in order to stay up as late as she felt like staying and to my surprise she was ready to head home at 9pm lol. By the time we got home I was pretty wired but of course mrs and the kids went right to sleep. I sat on the front porch and sipped on some bourbon while the neighbors down the road lit off fireworks. I was awake till 1am but as usual the ol brain clicked on right at 4:30am like clockwork o_O.

In a few hrs we're headed to the beach to see mrs pineys family for the polar bear plunge. Surprisingly little piney #1 does it every year! She only goes in up to her knees but that's more than I'll do! Haha. Have a great day everyone
