I'm sure they are not allowed to do that by contract. As an exclusive supplier, TSC does not want to get caught up in doing something like that.

That's an $1,100 stove sold exclusively thru TSC. At a guess markup is 30% so it is a $850 stove sold from the mfg (who has their own markup so call it a $650 stove from start). Add in trucking cost to get it back down south and it's just not worth it, especially if you are having problems hiring/retaining enough people just for production (as so many places are - don't know about this specific mfg).

From the FB group - looks like the stop sales order went out about 11/19/22.

A lot of stoves use very similar if not identical parts. Must be something worth while to grab.

A few days ago two stoves a howling were not enough heat......Now one stove with a tiny spot fire is holding us at 74 F in the shack......

Definitely taking far less shells .....

    Raining cats and dogs sideways...../
I need to run Munchy...at least 3 barrels worth to fill up the stove ready stock.....Can't run Munchy in the rain.....

On a good note, Me figured how to keep "this old shack" feeling warmer. The stove never is off(unless bozo forgets to fill it). High/low since November. Only off to clean after 40 some odd bags. Took a couple a swings at it until the wife was comfy.

    What worked:
#1 Do it even if they say you can't. At least try!! What do you have to loose?
#2 Use the furnace blower to move the heat!
#3 Tighten up the swing on the stat to 1/2 a degree. It was on 1 1/2 degree from the lake house.
#4 Better pellets in the single digits with a hint of oil to keep temps. Should work in the sub temps too!

    What didn't work:
    #1 Listening to critics!!
#2 Lots of alcohol. Worked for me but not for her!!
#3 Slackin, Best to keep moving! She can't whack ya that way!
#4 All pellets aren't the same! Some do produce way more heat than others.

I didn't include all the sealing of air leaks and such. Or adding insulation where needed. But did all I could with whats available. Insulation order is do to ship January 4th and 1/2 the attic is prepped/cleared(floor torn up) to start the install. Putting plastic up on the porch windows today to help out there. Came close to freazing in the single digit temps. Also putting in some more attic prep with the rafter baffles too.

Speaking of TS and Grand Teton, I bought some pellets today and there was a big ol' Grand Teton on display that looks and awful lot like a PelPro PP130...

Weather was decent this morning....I got the horses fed.....Grabbed the tractor and dragged 3 barrels up to the house.
Got Munchy rolled out and went after some serious crunching.....

Filled up the basement barrels...A bit of decent weather Sat/Sunday and will likely do a couple more barrels.

    Yesterday sucked.......

After Breakfast I ripped into the big Whitfield and gave it a decent cleaning.....

Cleared the firebox, did the ash baffles, LBT and rekindled the fire.......

I did not want to fool with the stove last night after the power came back on....Screw it....Bumped up the stat on the QUAD and let it pick up the slack that the little Whit was not dealing with.....

About every 3 hours or so the Quad came on and ran a cycle.......

Outdoor temps were in the high 30's F ....Just a bit too low for the little stove to handle the entire shack..........

If you look at PRODUCTS and compare the pics to Pellet Stoves - PRODUCTS, they're the same.

Glad you got it figured out for now. What works for some, doesn't work for others and vice versa.

I imagine tightening up that thermostat swing made a huge difference in the "feels like" category with a stove that is always on.

Grand Teton and Clevland Iron works are the same company apparently and the stove bodies appear to be the same, the pel pro pp 130 ( under the HHT umbrella )is very similar to both the grand teton and the clevland Iron works stoves but has a different vent and the door is rounded at the top, I'm sure they probably all come out of the same plant over younder and just have different touches for what ever brand they are destined to be.

Indeed! Also the night time setback. We were able to setback 4º during the night at the lake house. Took too long to recover here in this drafty old house. So I reduced to 2ºF unless its single digits. Where we just run steady at 71ºF.

Setback at the lake house helped reduce pellet consumption. Can't do that here and just biting the bullet(excepting) we are going to use lots of pellets!! But still way cheaper than using oil!

Swing was used to reduce the start up cycles(trying to save the ignitor) at the lake house. Here its never off anyway. Just high/low now. Ignitor is hardly used anyway!

Only pellet reduction is the heat level. 4 for the below freezing temps and 3 when its above freezing. Approx. 8 pounds per hour used at level 4 and 6 pounds per hour at level 3.

Burn pot looks very similar to the nepolean NPS 40/45 stoves.

    Weather is sloppy again....

Ran the Big Whitfield until mid last evening.....Little wind and the house was 76F ...Shut down the big boy and ran the little stove through the night......Still 70 F in here this morning at 4am

Amazing how the difference in humidity and wind outside will change what we can get from these two stoves...

Outside at 35F and dry with breezy conditions will need far more heat.....Same temps and heavy wet air with rain ....Far less heat needed..
