Guess we will try to get some more oak split, got another tall tote empty, get it filled and drying for the restaurant. That will make 6 totes for them. Then move Blue Samson to the empty sheds and start on them.

Good morning! 32F and partly sunny. Beautiful sunrise this morning. The big freeze has moved on. I made mini bundles, kindling bags and a bag of cherry 8" splits for the roadside stand last night. I have 1/3 cord of split pear coming after work that I'll need to stack in a IBC tote. I may need to resplit some/most of it for smoking purposes. Then I need to fix the steering wheel spinner on the Gator. That may be enough for one day. Have a God day!

Evening all. I spent most of the day in bed with a fever and migraine. campinspecter is coughing like crazy. It is a sick house today so we have cancelled our trip down to see the kids. Hopefully this will be over soon. Such a nice day outside today. Sun came out. I think we get rain for the rest of the week.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 32° this morning, heading to the 60's. 1 more nite to work, then off for the weekend.
We didn't get any wood cut yesterday, did deliver a tote of oak to the restaurant and then went to a friend's house that was having water problems. We weren't much help, but she got it fixed later in the day.
Got to deliver another load this morning to a recent widow, she's gotten a load earlier this fall.
Maybe we can make some man glitter when we get back.

Thanks. I got over the migraine but now I have a sinus headache with the cold. It is going to be a couple of miserable days around here. So far campinspecter just has the coughing.

 

Morning All. Rain and more rain. Stay at home day today with our colds. Fortunately we don't have to worry about flooding here but the lower part of the island has seen some horrible flooding. It doesn't help that we are having extra high tides for the low lying areas.

Good afternoon! 52F and cloudy. Warmest day we've had for some time. Had a load of split pear delivered last night. Sizes were all over the place but nice wood overall. Paid for 1/3 cord, got every bit of that and more. I'll split it down for some nice smoking wood.

Refilled some empty racks in the roadside stand and moved totes for the next round of production.

Basketball tournament all day. Hope to get some splitting in later. Have a God day!

I got a fire going this morning but I haven't added any wood. House temp is still above 70 with low 40's out. I brought down some wood to top off the wood boxes in the garage. Snow is melting

 

Good morning, members.

A warm 41⁰ heading to mid-50's. Rain late tomorrow.

I'll be bringing wood to the deck. With temps in the 50's and pushing 60⁰ next week, I'll be sure to have shoulder wood available, with oak overnight.

I'll be firing up the smoker for an overnight smoking of a couple of pork butts. Pulled pork tomorrow!
