My four sons and their spouses were divided into to two team of four

The stakes was dinner with their spouse and childcare for the winning teams

They had ten minutes to plan and move gear to their work site, their creation had to fit on the rubber barn mat, and they had 30 minutes to construct their creation

a single image was submitted to four of wood cutting buddies and their spouses and each couple had to pick one

based on Christmas theme, creativity appearance and usage of items available

here are the tools they had, and the final products!

I'd say it is a tie. Each have to do child care and let the others have a date night.

Very creative idea Greg. I bet fun was had by all. I think both teams did a nice job, but I have to agree with others on the three kings.

That's a very great and creative way to have some family fun! Tough to pick a "winner" for me. Both are very creative. I'd take all the grandkids and send the parents out on a double date.

It was a photo finish, with a narrow victory from the judges given to the Christmas tree

though all judges ranked the wise men higher in creativity

Such a great activity. And good way to get people active on a day when sometimes it’s hard to get outside!

Agreed. Tree was more impressive, but the three wise men was more creative/fun.

One of my favorite things about this group is that someone always dissects a picture and comments about an off-topic detail.

im not sure which one is the brand referenced, but assume the maroon one? If so, like them a lot, heavy duty and wide tractor tire, with a grease fitting. Have held up well, and make sure when very cold not to throw wood into them, and to remember to use my metal one for furnace ashes , :)
