    Good morning all. Was 37* when I got up and currently 16*. Winds about 10. Gust up to 40/50. By the time it is done dropping it will be about 0.
    Indoor day today.

    Morning all. Below freezing and climbing up. We got about 8" of snow last night and lots of wind. It blew all day yesterday and it is still going strong. We are supposed to get freezing rain today and then buckets of rain for the weekend. I think our daughter and SIL are staying home for Christmas. They were coming here but road conditions down island are brutal and SIL came home with a cold Wednesday.
    Finally got my last present completed and wrapped. Now to organize what food I am taking to Mom's and if I want to chance baking anything today. So far, touch firewood, we haven't lost power which is so unusual so it will happen sooner or later. Power company did a lot of work on power line right a ways this summer so we may make it through.

    Good afternoon, y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. It was 43° when I left for work this morning, that was the high...about 31° and windy now. I'm on 7AM-7PM shift this weekend, so at least I can help keep the stove loaded.
    I think we got most of our list done yesterday.

    Guy came and picked up a load of firepit chunks, then my coworker came on his lunch break and got his IBC tote of 15" splits.
    We also got almost 2 loads of 16" wood delivered...

    8⁰ , clear and breezy. Climbing all the way to the 20's.

    I'll be checking this out more closely. It fell late yesterday afternoon on the side street. Wires down across the street from us. We didn't lose power.

    Later today, we'll bring pizza to my folks for a visit with them and siblings.

    Good morning. We don’t travel far today, just down south a bit to attend early evening church with my wife’s father. The roads here are snow covered in many places, and very slick. It is now -7f and still pretty windy. I got my spear shack out on the lake Tuesday after work and before the storm, so may get out tomorrow morning since our children are grown and are coming over and celebrating Christmas with us today.

    Good Morning... :coffee: ... Had Northern Beans soaking over night... will go in the crockpot here in a bit with the ham bone and some ham chunks... Should be good for a few meals... Probably do some cornbread tonight to go with it...

    Thank you. It is good to be back. I am located between Manhattan and Topeka. Yesterday I had knee surgery and was in much pain all evening, although I slept well last night. The surgery was to fix an old injury. I wonder what the doc was thinking as he was working on my knee because it was pretty bunged up from splitting wood last weekend. My son is staying with me until Sunday to help with things like feeding the stove and animals (and me). Merry Christmas!

    I'm thinking maybe I should shove a little bit of snow this morning as someone is coming here around noon. They would probably appreciate it but it will be a cold job as the wind is still with us.

    It was supposed to warm up a bit overnight. Well, it did raise 6 degrees. Trouble is, it has also now dropped 7 degrees... So much for that mini warm-up.

    Good morning! -2F and cloudy. Had 1 customer at the roadside stand yesterday. Driveway kept going off and couldn't figure out why. Went out later to find part of the driveway plowed. May venture out later to fill it back up and finish the driveway. Not sure what else I'll get into. Have a God day!

    Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. Merry Christmas Eve. 14° when I left this morning nfor work, the Drolet worked hard, but kept in comfortable in the big room, about 70°. Added some wood once last night.
    All kinds of fun at work today, gas and electric curtailments. Having to keep up with readings...:picard:...

    New years eve and day they are saying 50
    . Bring it on.
    Just had a 2 pt. And a spike buck in the yard. 2 pt had only a half rack. About 20/25 ft away feeding on the yew.
