Had maybe 2" snow overnight plus an inch a couple of days ago. Think it was -5f with 20=MPH winds this morning when I went out and got 5 + our driveway cleared. Still windy and - 8f now.

I was up at 3:15 and it was 38 went back to bed until 6:30. 13 and snow blowing like a white out. 70 in but the ng boiler is on. Going down now to stuff the Buck full. Supposed to be in negative territory by afternoon. Have a nice pile of ash, hickory, oak, maple and cherry close at hand.

Ran the temperature up to 80 and now letting things completely burn down so as to empty the stove prior to the flash freeze.

Loaded the stove with BL before I left for work. Told the boy, keep it going. Little concerned with ground being so saturated and the coming wind.

    -8 wind chill is -31.

The end of the world (blizzard) never showed up.

Yeah, we had some cold temps and some wind and some snow, but it's winter right?

I think forecasting is now as reliable as the "news". If you are in that business, you better jump on the bandwagon of whatever is trying to be sold at the moment.

The winds are supposed to pick up this afternoon with 2-4 more inches of snow expected. Maybe, I guess....possibly

    -6, wind chill is -28.

Got another load of honey locust in the stove, warming things up in here. The house got down to 58 last night, because I let the stove go for awhile to burn down coals, before the overnight load.

We're supposed to hit 9 today and only have 30 mph gusts today.
