I was gonna say it's not here so I'm can't add anything. But then saw your post. Also thought maybe you were just getting it ready for the big day!

A commentary on the heat from the wood stove. We're redoing the kitchen at some point, I don't mind a little humor on the woodwork.

    90 NYC hot.
85 hotter than all 4 hells
    80 hot
    75 comfortable

We spent time together in NYC where tenement buildings were steam heat w no thermostats. In the dead of winter windows had to be opened to stay comfortable.

Your kitchen looks very similar to the one that was in my grandparents home right down to the writing in the cabinet. Gramps was famous for writing on everything with a black sharpie marker. Directions for use, dates and such right down marking his socks and underwear. Lol.

At holidays gram would be in the kitchen cooking away with the fan over the stove going tho it didn’t really work, someone would have to man the smoke alarm ready to fan it with a towel. My many aunts, uncles and cousins jammed in their modest home. Gramps would have it so darn hot with his stove cranking . The good old days. Thanks for the quick trip down memory lane.

    Hey that's cool!
We have things posted inside the cabinet doors, but that's about it.
I hope to change it over to natural wood, open shelving, rustic flavor. All the custom woodwork is warping due to the wood stove being in there too. So, going to streamline, and better utilize the space we have.

The fan works tho . .

    Merry Christmas!
