Yes…. Real butter in a covered butter should always be on the counter. One of my little quirks, bread, toast, and rolls need to be very evenly buttered without tearing it.

You're doing it wrong if you call it "evenly buttered".

I use so much that it is now referred to as "frosting"!! :D

There's actually good egg nog that is store bought. Some is too thin. The good stuff doesn't need to be expensive. I am a staunch believer in not adding alcohol to nog. It messes up the flavor and things out out. I'll take my shot on the side thank you!

Love... Good egg nog. Real butter with no canola oil in it. If you want the butter soft, then leave it out on the counter. A good deal he homemade stollen with said real butter

Hates... Holiday nog. That's not nog. Fruit cake. What the heck is that?

    Easy there.......

I may be trying to apply for that pic of the guy in the blue mask.......

I have been thinking about that much butter over the years though......and have been cutting back. Not enough but I'll get there.

Gotta agree with the Chex mix and Egg nogg!! I much prefer homemade nogg. Mom always made it the best using raw milk (we always had a milk cow when I was younger) eggs, vanilla and sugar.

Christmas Eve our tradition is beer cheese soup and homemade buns with a slab of ham in them. If we are having a big crowd may also make knoephla soup so that there is an option. The whole traditional meal on Christmas day is good. As for an unfavorite food for Christmas, one of my grandmas had a thing for oyster stew that I could never get past.
