    Morning All. We are still in a deep freeze. No new snow for us but the other end of Vancouver Island got hammered. So it is -7C/10F this morning. In the past, we would never have this cold of temps for more than one or two days. Weather patterns are sure changing. Another partially sunny day is predicted for today.
    We got the tree up and decorated and grocery shopping done but I didn't get the last present finished. That is my main focus for today.
    Sawdust Man I am enjoying the morning sunrises you have been posting.
    Backwoods Savage sorry to hear about your sleeping problems. I hope tonight will be better.
    T.Jeff Veal nice load of firewood in that truck.
    Sourwood Enjoy retirement. Soon you will wonder how you fit work into your schedule.

    I hope everyone is safe through your big storm predicted. Our weekend is going to get messy with rain coming in.

    We had an visitor late yesterday morning. As I was getting my phone in camera mode, she spotted me and turned around and started to walk away. She was nibbling on our yew bush.

    Good Morning... :coffee: ... She arrived around 1am'ish.... Already down to 14F .... at 2:45 a.m. Suppose to keep on dropping. To like a negative 5 or 6 ...... Usually plus or minus 3 on zero and that's where we'll have the coldest temp of the year... Biggest thing for me will be keeping up with the heat demand...especially with the north wind.... Have a Good Day...

    Good morning, members.

    Mid-20's and clear to start. 40's and sunny later.

    Rain and wind start tonight. I'll be prepping by doing things like putting up some water, stow things that are outside that the wind can blow around, and bring up wood to the deck.

    With teens forecasted for Friday night, I'll be sure to have oak and some black locust ready to go.

    I have a dentist appointment this morning to finish a new crown. This afternoon, I'll be getting my flue shot. Somewhere in the mix, I'll get a few groceries.

    Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 40° heading to 52°, it says. Elliott arrives here tomorrow. Finally finished with night shift this week, off today. We have several things to do as well. Got to hang a couple light bulbs in the pump house near the pressure switch, check pool pump, fill up wood boxes in the house. And cut, deliver a load of 16" splits, while waiting on 3 folks to pick up some loads today. Guess I need plenty of caffeine today.

    As expected, all the hype was pure baloney on the amounts of snow. There no doubt will be big amounts of lake effect but now not much at all here. And this is the first time I've seen a winter weather warning out for a couple inches of snow. That is usually an advisory. But I imagine it is because of the wind and temperature drop.

    Oh well.
    I'll settle for wind and power outages, and maybe some storm damage trees to scrounge.

    I'm off for a few days (loving the new job). Will move some wood up after a short nap.
