    Good morning y'all
    29/41 mostly clear skies. IMG_20221216_072627.jpg

Gotta load up three cords of wood for a customer today, then maybe we'll work on the barn for a few hours... we'll see.

    Y'all have a blessed day!

Morning All. I thought it would drop to below freezing last night but it didn't . campinspecter is headed down island with Mom this morning for her medical appointments. Roads should be clear. We are expecting a dump of snow on the weekend. The question everyone is asking - will it still be here for Christmas? Probably not.
Last day of work for this year. Lots of students away sick, or gone on trips. Really quiet school.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 34F and cloudy. Not expecting much sun for the rest of the month. Need to fill bird feeders and move totes out of the barn. Probably check out local Christmas light displays tonight. Have a God day!

I was surprised when a package showed up at my door.

Years ago there was a nice widow lady who lived almost across the road from us. I actually did not know her then but one summer day it got really hot here. She had relatives living next door to her but on this hoy day, she was trying to mow her lawn. I happened to go to the mailbox and when I got to the road I could see her. The temperature was well into the 90's! When I took the mail inside I told Judy I was going to mow the neighbor's grass and away I went. Told the lady to get indoors.

From that time on I never let her mow. We became good friends and naturally she started calling me if she needed some help. I was happy to help her. Years later she began to get weaker and weaker. We even made sure to ger her mail and take it to her. She has a son who lives near Seattle and it took a few years but he finally talked her into moving in with him. Now that house and her neighbor's house are gone and we use that area as the camping/parking area for our GTG.

Even after she moved, we continued exchanging Christmas gifts. But 2 years ago when Judy was in the hospital I called one day and told her about Judy. Then I suggested we not exchange gifts any longer and she agreed. But yesterday the package was from her! She can't forget. Next month she will turn 93 years old. The problem is she is now bed-ridden and I am told she can not even hold the phone so I don't call.

I did call her sister who lives not far from me. She understood and told me they are still so appreciative of what all I did for her. That was a nice Christmas gift. It is really nice when years later they still remember.

Good morning. It is so nice outside here with new snow covering everything. Now we are waiting for the real cold from the arctic coming down this coming week to firm up the lakes a little more before we can fish. Looks like highs below zero by Thursday.

Good morning! 26° and flurries. It snowed lightly all night. I did a small project for my wife this morning and now I'm burning a large pile of brush. I have a room worth of carpet to dump on the pile and waiting for it to burn down some. High school girls basketball later today and definitely a nap. Have a God day!

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a SPECTACULAR SONDAY. 32° here at at work, probably cooler at home. Church then nap is about it today.
Had a good time yesterday morning with a friend and his son. We only worked a couple hrs. They learned the splitter quick, I only had to help them with the big rounds. I spent most on the time on the tractor and saw. 1217220945.jpg 1217221005.jpg 1217221058.jpg

Good morning. We celebrated by wife’s 58th birthday yesterday. She is a true Viking’s fan and really enjoyed the biggest comeback in NFL history on her special day.

She is the one in the scarf by the fire. Our 3 year old granddaughter is showing something to her 91 year old great grandfather.

It was quite a party going late into the night for us, so we slept in a bit this morning.
