Good morning, members.

Low 20's and overcast. Mid-30's with some sun later.

We did get our 1st snow of the season. ~3 inches of the light fluffy stuff. Not enough to use the snowblower. But enough to spend time shoveling, which I don't mind.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 48° this morning in Alabama. We are heading home after breakfast. Had a great visit, but time to hit the woodyard again. Hunting club called again this year, got to deliver a cord load this evening.

Good morning! 36F and cloudy. Winter weather is coming later in the week. Resplit some ash yesterday and made bundles for the roadside stand. I need to finish my rolling tool stand build for the splitter tonight. Working on small projects in the barn. Have a God day!

 

Morning all. Just above freezing this morning. I had a nice quick visit with Mom yesterday. Today is the last week of work for this calendar year then two weeks off. We have a forecast of sunshine and a few clouds this week. Should be nice.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. 50° and cloudy, might get to 55°, front is heading this way. Off today, so we're heading to a customer's house to pick up 2 hickory trees he had taken down by the tree service, they cleaned up the brush too......then have to see what time we have left. Have to be at church tonight to pack food in carry bags, we deliver these to several schools that give them to some kids during Christmas break.

MikeInMa did you post the snowy stack pictures in Snow on the Stacks? Hard for me to believe that we got snow before you did.
Backwoods Savage Sorry to hear about the hurting you are going through. Nice to know you were able to get the winter tires on before you get a real winter storm.
WinonaRail I think your solution to handling the drum sticks was brilliant. Sounds like you have been able to do quite a bit even with the injury
Chazsbetterhalf sounds like Chaz has you all set up for colder, snowier weather.

four day of work left and two weeks off beckons. I am looking forward to it.

Good afternoon all . 22 to start, might hit 35. But it is sunny.
Woodwidow, Chaz is currently working on next year's wood. The logs we got are a mix of ash, beech, maple etc. The quicker drying wood. He also has an industrial fan that he runs.
Considering his ribs and knee that put him back aways. 3 months total.
He also said that he has to hit the hillside. A lot of standing dead.
When he starts dropping trees, my brother will be up here with him. Besides, he needs some more camp fire wood.

I've been blessed to be able to do just about anything I need to. Sometimes it takes longer and I have to get creative. The one thing I haven't done is get back to cutting wood. I'm afraid to handle a 72cc pro saw when I can't get a good grip with my left hand. If it gets away from me I'd probably have a leg to match my hand. I'm hoping to back fairly normalish (for me) by the first of the year.

 

Good afternoon! 36F and cloudy. Did some organizing in the barn last night. Kindling is stored in crates on a shelf along with bags. Made a place to fill bags and store them until needed. High school girls basketball tonight followed by a choir concert. Have a God day!
