So, I did my Boveda "recharge" and almost got a feeling of being took. Lol I'm not sure how many of these I've bought over the years, but it's been plenty. I set 2 of them in a vegetable steamer setup, with distilled water in the bottom pan, put on a lid and 4 days later they were as good as new. Wish I would've seen this as a possibility earlier, but it is what it is. The Heartfelt beads..............I REALLY like these. One 70% tube in my small 100 ct standard wood, glass top humidor, and humidity level is at 66% for 4 days now. I didn't quite get the tube charged good enough, or more likely, my humidor had just got that dry, 45%, because it went up to mid 50's then started falling again. Rechaged it again, making sure to get it all damp and now it's been good and consistent. I then took the bag of beads and the 2 Boveda's and put them in my foot locker, to let that start getting humidity levels back up, since it's just sat for a bit. Levels in there are at 60% so far. May take a bit to get up all the way. Have a good Friday fellas!
I like blue label edge better. That one’s not too bad. The sun grown is good, but usually goes higher than I tend to bid. Haven’t had the last one… looks decent…
Thank you, not that I need any more cigars but I like to browse. I haven’t had a cigar in about 2 weeks, I’m still recovering from my sinus infection. I am kind of hankering a stogie.
I've had and enjoyed the RP sun grown maduro. I think I still have one left to look forward to. The padilla looks familiar but not sure; it may have been included in a sampler pack. Glad to hear that you're done with that infection!
Hopefully done with it, I have 2 days of antibiotics left, some folks have had to get a 2nd round of antibiotics to totally whip it. I ruptured an ear drum so blowing my nose hasn’t really been an option for a few days now. Hopefully in a few weeks it will heal up, stop ringing & I can start to hear out of it.
CI order showed up today. Found out the Boveda recharge didn't work well for me. After 4 days, they felt good, but they're already spent and hard again. So just Heartfelt beads for me, from now on. Have a good day fellas!
So, I decided I wanted more room before I start stocking back up and checked some prices of humidors. I found the same Havana Foot Locker I already have, on sale for 210 shipped, with tax. I gave dang near 350 for my first one. My plan is to split my cigars and cigarillos into their own humidors. Then fill my small glass top humidor from those, like I've been doing. I buy more cigarillos than full size cigars and this will be a way to keep things sorted and organized a bit.
Those look like some good ones, I have never had any Acids. I have never had any Punch cigarillos but the regular Punch’s are usually pretty good.
Well, I tried a Bandido this afternoon & damm near thought I was going to lose my groceries. I may try a different stogie tomorrow but at this point I can’t even stand the smell of a stogie or it’s smoke.
Stumbled upon a kinda neat documentary on YouTube about cigars. It talks about cigar culture during and after Cuban embargos and there's snippets of founders of bigger companies, being interviewed. I found it interesting. It's been out since 2019. Edit : Not sure why the link seems messed up. In case the link doesn't work, it's called "Hand Rolled - A Film About Cigars".
Watches that video this morning. Good movie and really explained things well. Thanks for sharing. I also have had a bad cold of some sort since thanksgiving. Feeling better in the last week but haven’t had a cigar since thanksgiving if I recall. Maybe this weekend but it’s only getting colder here. Highs of single digits next week so any cigar smoking will be at a friends man cave he smokes in or in my hot tub
Hopefully you get that cold/virus knocked out pretty quick. Mine set in the Sunday after Thanksgiving & I am just starting to get back to normal.
