Has a body on frame construction. Solid rear axle. 4x4. Hi / low range transfer case. Some have lockers and hydraulic dump beds as factory options. That's probably more real truck than the real trucks most people drive around. Lol

People love to poke fun at my little Frontier. I've noticed despite them having a huge super duty type truck, it hasn't a single scratch on the bed liner or the tow hitch. That's when I remind them, it may be small but it's hauled more loads than my wife's purse. A big truck doesn't equal a big man. I don't need to overcompensate for other shortcomings with the biggest, baddest, truck available. It only cost me 29k, and the 6 is great on gas.

Just a small sampling of hauls and tows:

And before that I had another "tiny truck" that was 2wd, a 4 cyl, and $600 when I bought it. Despite that it towed an off road dump trailer from NH, multiple loads of logs and firewood, multiple garden tractors, a 7 foot landscape rake, 8 foot truck plow, etc.

In the past I had three 2wd rangers. Two 4cyl manuals and one V6 manual. They did everything I needed from a truck at that time in my life.

I had a couple S-10s. They were what I could afford at the time.

Yes sir. I did quite a bit of work to it. Should have kept it for a yard truck

    I had a 2wd square body S10 with a built 350 / turbo 350. It was fun.

If you’re going to load that trailer you should load it. DBE14538-3E2B-48EF-9CE3-3B2870455AD6.jpeg
And that’s a toy 1200 pound gvw trailer hooked to a 2500 hd duramax.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's a bit overloaded (trailer abuse).

That’s what I bought it for. Brand new Black Friday deal $500. When it breaks I’ll rebuild it better than before.

Exactly. I always base my decision of a vehicle on need, not on looks or anyone else's idea of what I should have. I've had some vehicles that I've bought new that I hated the looks of, but did what I needed, had the features I needed, and didn't break my bank. In my case, I want something I can haul people in if needed, carry big/bulky/heavy stuff, Carry multiple pets in an enclosed area, 4WD.

NRTs that I've had, but served my needs and at times got worked really hard hauling stuff (even over the GVW in some cases). That includes big piles of brush/limbs, sheet rock/plywood, insulation (rigid and rolls), lumber, up to a ton of pellets: two 4-Runners, Xterra, Patriot, three Explorers.99.9% of the time, the rear seats are folded down (in the case of my current Explorer, the rear seats were up for exactly as long as it took me to drive it home and put them down after buying it.

But, but, but.....can it tow 30,000 pounds? Can you put 3000 in the back? Can it empty your wallet in fuel cost weekly? Most importantly, can it jar your fillings loose when driving it?

No? How dare you buy what you need and what is practical for your situation.
