I sell mostly by the 1/2 cord, but I have some customers that want a wheelbarrow or 2 at a time. Then I'll sell per piece

Same in Ohio except law says or bundled wood that has the cf amount on it. I haven't heard of it ever being enforced

I am going to sell by the cord and half cord from my recent cut here in 2 to 3 years. It will be dry under 25 percent
    Firewood. Oak, Hickory, Beech.
If the current energy prices remain it will be sold at 275.00$ a cord.

I went down the rabbit hole on this topic last night. Turns out wood more than 4 cubic feet is "bulk" and must be sold in cords or fractions of cords. Wood sold under 4 cubic feet is "bundle wood". Check out how they calculate bundle wood:

Method of sale infractions for firewood is not something officials would actively pursue. It is purely complaint driven.

I think it may have been Texas when the grid was down. Last winter or a couple winters ago?

No...there is a member here that sells wood to people in the metro areas and gets darn good money out of it...either Kentucky or Tennessee...thinking its the latter...I'll have to see if I can figure out who it is again...

You'd be surprised at how many people have asked for me to sell it by the piece. They are taking a little liability in assuming what the average size will be but a guy who does his math and knows he's only going to have a relatively few number of fires will know exactly how far 100 or 200 pieces will get him firewise.

How do you store those, Jeff? Do you put a lid on or store them laying down with no top or just how? What do you see as the benefits? Always curious how people deal with processing.
