Good morning everyone! Looks like a lot of us are in for crazy weather today, I hope the tornadoes don't hit near you. We get rain and wind, although the wind speed forecast has backed off a bit. Still, there may be some limbs showing up at the dump the next few days. I got some apple on Monday. IMG_20221128_42955.jpg
    Stay safe!

Temp is falling and supposed to fall all day with wind along with showers and flurries.

We also have another dumb forecast where the high temp for today is lower than the low overnight, like 6 degrees different. I never could figure that out...

Morning all. Well, we got about a good foot of snow which has drifted into two high drifts on the back porch. campinspecter went out this morning to shovel it off the driveway and porch. It took about two hours. I am home today from work. We had temps just above freezing in the early evening yesterday and now it is below freezing so the roads are very slick. Although I think it will clear off and be sunny this morning, the high pressure system is going to bring us very cold weather with more snow later in the week.
So what mischief can I get into today? Choices are sewing or bookkeeping. Maybe it will be both.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 26F and cloudy. What a difference a day makes! Had some rain yesterday. I moved empty totes last night to prep for my firewood delivery today. Bible study at church tonight. Have a God day!

    Good morning IMG_20221107_161125705_HDR.jpg
It's been a rough week my neighbor Paul rolled his atv on thanksgiving and was pinned under it
I got home from my family dinner
And neighbors called for me to help look for him
My neighbor jim found him at 7pm he'd been pinned for 12 hour's
I called 911 they came and ordered a
    life flite IMG_20221124_195451408.jpg
Broken hip and femur they put pins in
And have him in therapy he's doing fine
But it'll be a long process.
I had them order a hospital bed from the VA for when he gets home.
Tough old fella he had his hip replaced two months ago and a hernia surgery last month
But this will definitely slow him down.
His son took away all his guns and ATVs so he'll definitely stay put now.

May JESUS HEALING TOUCH be on Paul, give him comfort and a good recovery. Glad he made it.

Rather ironic. The road salt barge is in at the barge dock and they are unloading road salt for our area. it was suppose to arrive yesterday but I think the blizzard delayed the tug.

He's the toughest old fella I know
    Korean war combat vet
I never met him before I moved here I bought a farm near him.
10 year's ago after watching him butcher some trees and nearly get his head torn off falling a tree uphill it bounced back and took his hat off
I took over cutting trees all the trees down for him I bet I've cut 250+ dead ash and storm damage down.
He still limbs with a ms250 I rebuilt and ported for him.
He's funny I rebuilt a Stihl 036 for him and it was in his barn another neighbor
Dean wanted to borrow that saw
When he stepped in the barn a snake fell on him
The guy got a Glock 9mm out of his truck and shot the snake several times
As well as that 036 I just rebuilt
Paul still laughs about that and picks on that neighbor
For having me fix that saw twice.
    Here's some pics
    Of the gunshot wound's
Check out his Honda 400 mileage it had 36k when the trans went out.
By the way that "copperhead" dean shot was a house snake not dangerous.

Looks like he killed the saw as well as the snake...:rootintootin::rootintootin:...
Paul sounds very much like our neighbor Terry, he's 1 tough Vietnam vet. He got hit in the left leg with shrapnel from a mortar round, still has some come out. Then he was also hit with machine gun fire, docs saw 3 entry wounds, patched him up, a few years ago, they were doing a scan for his liver cancer, they found the 4th bullet he was still carrying.
He has survived the liver and prostate cancer. And he still tries to help others less fortunate...

Wind yesterday and now I see it is supposed to be windy through Saturday but not quite as strong. Still windy though and temperatures supposed to be more normal.
