44 heading towards freezing. One huge crotch section of 2 1/2 year sugar maple with 2 smaller chunks of ash.
Loaded up for the night with oak and one piece of mulberry. 47/76. Hoping to have enough ember to relight @7 when the dog wakes me.
Still in the 45 range at 9:15 PM on November 26th. Wood Gun filled 3/4 way with Ash for the overnight. Low overnight only going to 37. Shouldn’t be much heat demand.
Temp in 30's and clear but rain not far away. Looks like a roller coaster week coming up for weather.
39F with a full load of red maple going in the Lopi. Rain coming later this afternoon with a warmup. Looks like the stove will sit idle tomorrow, which will give me a chance to shovel it out.
Weve been mild over the last week or so with temperatures closer to freezing but not enough to melt our snow. Its snowing hard now and just under freezing right now with a big cool down setting in today. Arctic air and milder pacific air are clashing. Doug fir in the stove. I was going to do my first ice fishing today of the season but we decided to not travel in a snow storm.
No fire at the moment. 50° here, forecasted to slowly drop during the course of the day. By this evening I'll be back in the burning routine.
Last week was feet of snow for some and icy for alot more. This week, palm trees grass dresses and margaritas..
24 now. Had some nice days over the holiday weekend and the ice that had locked up the lake melted. Wide open once again! One of the days was windy and as the ice was melting and being pushed around, you could hear the loud "clinking" like pieces of broken glass be pushed together. It was surprisingly loud.
