Get to see more doctors on monday. am feeling stronger, but still not up to anything beyond an MD appointment. My diet is 1800 cal low salt. Not too bad to take. Appetite isn't what it was. zI have an electric wheelchair to get around in when in more than a few steps.
Got our Christmas tree, put it in its stand in the living room. Got some sugar maple and ash rounds split as well. Things I need to do this weekend yet, bring some more wood from the wood shed to the patio stack, and put the patio lounge chairs in the basement, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.
I just read an article about dogs and I always wondered how our pointer/border collie mix always senses what I’m going to do before I do it. For instance, if I get up from a chair, before I start moving he knows whether I’m going out the door or just going upstairs. He also knows when I’m getting sick before I do. The reason, I found out, is that collies in particular can sense your needs instinctively. Almost like they read minds. I found that interesting.
My trip back home was a lot less eventful. My 6am flight took off on time and got to ORD 20 minutes early. Had a bit of a hike to get from F to K, but about an hour to get ther so didn't have to run and had time to get something to eat. At Philly I had an even longer hike to get from B to F, but again, had a bit over an hour to get there, so no rush (although I tend to walk fast so people probably thought I was in a rush as I passed them ). Struck up a conversation with a guy whose 6am flight had been cancelled. Nothing really outstanding about the conversation, except what are the odds his assigned seat was next to me (considering I had checked in the morning before and he had gotten his seat at 7am that morning)? Landed at MHT on time and got home shortly after 5. All the cats were glad to see me and came right out as soon as I was on the main floor; the pet sitter always found Rainey under the bed and several times could not find Spot - although Rita was friendly, which is good since she is on meds. Anyway, the cats ad birds were good, she had kept the P61a filled with pellets (I had the mini split going for the main floor). Everything looked great so she will get a really nice tip.
Pretty much the same here. 40° and rain. =No outside work until it stops. I did get the patio lounge chairs in the basement last night, before it rained, so I'm glad I got that done. I've got maybe a half hour or so of splitting on the sugar maple and ash rounds, so I'm hoping that can happen today. Rain is supposed to stop by 2pm. We'll see... Happy birthday BCB and nailed_nailer !!!
Hopefully get out and cut some firewood today. I’ll be after Ash, and have a dead Spruce that is already down that needs cleaning up. There are also a couple small blowdowns on the trails that will be processed. On vacation this week. Weather doesn’t look very good, but I have plenty I can do inside and outside. Including putting my feet up while taking some looooong, quiet breaks!
What the heck did you do to yourself now? Was it from the wood pile the other day? Feel better, Dennis.
