I loaded up most of the arsenal and wandered out to the remaining pile that I’d said had to get done before bringing more in.

First was a bunch of smaller rounds. I know some of you black locust snob divas might turn your nose up(just kidding!), but farwuud is farwuud to me. I cut it down to size. My cutoff size is usually 3” and then 4” plus gets split but I slip some of those through for “overnighters”.
I like using my MS250 on the Northern tool cradle for that. It goes fast.
Then some of the bigger stuff. Moved it to the sawbuck, cut some on the forks on front of tractor, the homegrown lift worked fine for picking the bigger stuff up.[IMG]

The MS261 bogged down like the chain brake was on. I tryed rolling the chain forward and it worked for a while but locked up again. So I tore it apart and found the bar roller not moving. First time to ever happen to me. So I used the 362 to finish the pile.
Back to the shop, since the 261 was apart I put its chain on the sharpener for my first time and babied my way through that. Dicked with the bar and it freed up like something dust or chips had clogged it. We will see.[IMG]

All in all a good day. About a cord loaded into totes for 2024.
All saws, the splitter, and everything running as expected. Now I can go scrounging!
I have some stuff that has blown down in my “back 40” to bring out but that area is swampy so I’m waiting on that ground all to freeze.

Got a cord of ash and cherry stacked today. Got tired of sitting around and needed to work some food off.

The Mrs. just got done with pies for tomorrow.

Top to bottom, left to right.

Sugar cream, pecan, butternut squash, blackberry, strawberry rhubarb, chocolate.

Most of the ingredients are from this property (milk, berries, squash, lard).

69,900 bucks. (52,354 USD) Cozy little spot, new windows, roofing and siding would do it wonders.

If my body allows and there are no hunters nearby, I may work on some wood today.

Errands this morning. Chicken feed bought. Fresh Donuts from bakery and milk bought for family home. V-8 Energy Orange-Pineapple for me.

3/4 of a face cord of firewood thrown into wood bin in basement boiler room. Break time. Then time for a good workout walking outside and some light weight lifting to burn some calories eaten Yesterday. And prepare an appetite for our Thanksgiving meal this afternoon!

Too wet out to move or cut firewood.

Youngest son's bday party tonight. Sooooo I get a visit from both sides of the family. Home made chicken pot pie.
My inlaws dont like our dogs. They're golden retrievers and young, so they have energy and love attention. They'll sit in your lap. They always target my mother in law.

    Tomorrow first day of rifle.

My father in law told my wife he will no longer come to our house. He's afraid of our dog. He says, "you don't know what that dog's thinking. It could snap any time and kill someone".

Makes us both sad as she and I have been very close with him. Doesn't matter if he's crated either. :picard: He does not exhibit any aggressive behaviors, at all. He's a very affectionate fella. I wasn't there but Roscoe nudged him in the arm with his nose in an attempt to get some pets. Told us it scared the he11 out of him.
