Why would anyone dump hunderds of dollars worth of wood? Crazy azz people.
Nice find Scotty, would love to see a vid of the speed line in action.
Hey, where's a good place to get some spikes/belt/harness on the cheap?

Only thing we could figure was people bought a property that had a cache of wood and they didn't want to burn wood.......can't imagine why they wouldn't put an ad in CL or something, but we're glad they didn't!

As for the spikes, make sure you buy a good set. Your azz depends on them. If buying used ones, make CERTAIN that the spikes haven't been used up (over time from sharpening and such, the gaffs wear out), also check the screws, belts and buckles.

We lucked out a while back, we had a buddy who hit all.the local pawn and thrift shops in the area, he called us out of the blue and said they had brand-new in the box tree gaffs at the one shop. We went to check them out and they had four sets of brand new Buckingham tree gaffs, we haggled and bought all four sets for $40.00 (yes, $10.00 per set!!!!)

So there are deals out there, just got to search for them.

When we do the speed line I'll be sure to do a video......I'm anxious to try it out!

Scott, you are getting some great finds. Good things happen to people who aren't afraid to work for what they get.
