Thanksgiving morning.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Yesterday Eric Wanderweg sent me a CL score near my house. Some Honey Locust. Not cords upon cords but the mania must be answered.
Sent an email, received a reply around 6.00am. Come anytime. Got there by 7.00. Tight residential neighborhood. Quiet is the rule of the day. A dump trailer sounds like a kettle drum at 7.00am LOL
Normally wouldn’t load rear heavy but shhh,,,,quiet. I even used the winch and quiet strap to load the bigger ones. Theyz heavy in the morning. Couple pieces of cheery in there too.

some greenhorn did beat me to it. Picked up most of the tree but never came back as promised. Lady was very happy to see it go.

LOL I have some petrified barkless BL beside the stove right now. I’m not exactly running out… yet I’ve decided I’m done with that bark-on variety. Half the rack space ends up being bark

 

Yeah not a fan of bark on either unless i can get it under good cover right away. I have roughly three cord of bark on splits from nearly two years ago that never got stacked including most if the stuff we scrounged together. Im wondering if it will "petrify"?

 

Those rounds gots to be heavy

 

I like logs for the ease and speed of loading. September I was cleaning up a bunch of rounds I had laying around. Started by moving them one at a time with the log arch. Easy but slow. So I loaded em on the trailer with the winch and tongs. Back up to the splitter, raise the bed a little and auto load em right onto the log lift. Don’t even need to bend over and roll em. Now that’s Fast!!

 

I tried to lift the first one up. Even with the hatcharoon for a handle my body slapped my brain across the cheek Thank God for push buttons.
