A beautiful 27F without a cloud in the sky. Red oak and white birch loaded up again. Heading out soon to get new shoes on my truck, then I’ll rotate the tires on my wife’s SUV. I’ll probably fire up the snowblower later to make sure it’s running well and ready for the winter. That’ll ensure we don’t get any snow this year either :) Happy Saturday FHC.

When I got up @ 6AM. Put a chunk of hickory and beech in last night. Big bed of coals 1119220622.jpg
Added 2 cherry splits and air, burning down the coals, now it's 28°/76°...

28* w/ a "real feel of 21" sitting out in cold all week caught up to me and I got lazy. Didn't get up until 6:30 and didn't reload stove during night.
Came downstairs to a blistering 55*. Upstairs still comfy though.

Pine, ash, oak getting house back to temp.

Sounds plausible to me. Lake Erie has no ice so if the prevailing wind is from the SW to the NE, Buffalo gets pounded on at least until lake Erie develops an ice cover.

He really loves the fire I think part of it is because he was found wandering at night during one of the coldest stretches we had last year. It looks like someone was trying to fight him because he has a few scars on his front leg. Since hes not aggressive Im guessing they dumped him or he said F it and ran away.

Yeah I have seen reports of 3 feet on the ground already. I wish we got snow like that here.
