I ELECTED to hit it this afternoon. Few month old clearing work by power lines. Black birch and hickory. Passed it last week in my travels. Cut a nice load of birch today. Lots more on top of the hill. Nice when gravity is on your side. Will grab more in the future. IMG_1962.JPG IMG_1963.JPG IMG_1964.JPG IMG_2012.JPG IMG_2013.JPG IMG_2014.JPG

Wow, that would be snatched up in a hot second around here. Good grab.

Looked like someone had cut some of it by the bottom of the hill.

Way to go Brad. Another opportunity that you went for that pays off.
    It got my vote too.
I was just wondering Brad with heating prices very expensive right now are seeing a high demand for the firewood that you are harvesting, and have you bumped up your prices due to the inflation in fuel prices. Not just your vehicle but running your saw your splitter or anything else you might use that takes fuel.

    You did it again!

As for pricing, I went up from $240 to $280/cord this year, nobody complaining.

Ive gone up to $160 for a half free delivery within five miles. Only one full cord customer and nobody complained except one lady but she is cheap and always questions price. Long time customer.

Ive only listed half cords of shorts/nuggets for sale on CL. Usually in the dead of Winter ill list a half of regular length. I dont see a price increase from others on CL/FBM but we know what they do...underseasoned and shorting on volume. I see and hear it firsthand.

Shoulda taken a load of ash when you were here. I'd come there to cut with you, and take a load of oak home any day!

You know Brad, it would be something to see all your stacks in pictures. In all dozen locations. Would be a heck of a cataloging job tho!

That's a great score, buddy. Did the birch still have any smell to it?
