Always hate to see this. :hair: Wood pile tarped up tightly like its gift wrapped! Last Spring a guy going crazy splitting and stacking wood into multiple rows. Left uncovered all Summer into the Fall. Last month nicely wrapped up! :picard:Drive by this all the time and just shake my head! IMG_2059.JPG
Moisture wont escape and air cant circulate. Top cover only FHC.

I’ll bet it’s all directly on the ground too. Hey maybe we shouldn’t be so harsh on the guy. Maybe it’s all oak with lots of sapwood and he’s moonlighting as a shiitake mushroom farmer :)

Leave a note telling em it's not good to cover like that. For my and everyone else's sanity... little we have left!

I wonder if the tarps are set up to properly birdbath on the top with a couple of seepage holes to prevent the wood from getting too dry.

I think Brad should leave a notice of improper firewood storage/violation of code FHC1A on their door...

Could only classify it as an eye-sore at this point, not being anywhere near flammable yet.

I ran out. New pad is on backorder. Plenty of violators around here.

Dunno how long this mound of splits has been sitting . Passed it last week on a delivery. Weathered and accumulation of fallen leaves! :picard: IMG_1995.JPG

Yeah that one will not be too dry...once those leaves get wet things are well on their way to turning to mulch.

I am so tempted to stop and knock on the door, but as Sister Judith used to say in Catholic school
"MYOB" Mind Your Own Business"! She was a mean old thing. Had her in third AND fifth grade.

I had one too! My grades were terrible w/ her then when we found out she was going up a grade, :(. I barely made it through, then things got much better. Mrs. Pelc. I'll never forget that old bitty.
