43 now after hitting 41 overnight. Had a gentle rain sometime as all the ground is wet once again.

Like Backwoods Savage said, a couple mild days beginning today with 50's and 40's for highs, then highs of 30's and 20's.

Snow begins on Veterans day (Fri). Sigh.

38 here this morning. Had a fire overnight the last two nights. Threw some white oak chunks in this morning on the coals. I’ll let it burn out as we’re supposed to get a warm up for the next couple days before we cool back down. Enjoying the fire:campfire:

28/63, no fire. W/ no one home today we decided not to start one but there’s no doubt they’ll be one tonight. Hard frost on my truck this AM.

30/65 when I got up this morning. Started a fire this morning with ash and oak. Had some coals left over from last night which was a pleasant surprise.

Sitting at -16 C/3 F this morning. The snow I banked against the shack and the stuff on the roof must be giving some insulation value, as it's colder here but easier to keep warm. Slab cut offs and pine for breakfast.

I ran the furnace for about 15 minutes for the first time this year a little bit ago. Just to make sure it works.

No fire this morning. Couple more days of warm before I fire it back up. Looking like a cold deer opener so that’s good!

Got a 30* cool-down coming starting tomorrow. Will have to turn on the heat for the first time this year. I think this is the latest first fire/heat ever.

Made it up close to 70 today but now the temps are in the mid 40's and dropping. I don't know if I will get a fire going tonight or wait until morning. I don't want to make it too warm for sleeping.

    28 now.

It is dry outside now but the wind has picked up over the last couple of hours. The crappy weather is on it's way.

One forecast is calling for 3" of the "S" word today........then 4-8 to follow over the weekend. Might be a good day to sit tight and not try driving through what I'm sure will be a slush mix.

A bit brisk out there this morning, currently -23 C/-9 F here, just enough wind to carry the smoke away in a lazy manner. The reactor is eating some nasty pine chunks for breakfast.
