Can't say no to either one of these. I didn't mind taking the oddballs of the cherry (i.e. all of it) because I'm gonna make smoking chunks of 'em!

Cherry was literally 1000ft from my house - the landscaper guy walked up and offered it to me. With my back being out of commission I said he'd have to load it and dump it here and he agreed. Gave him some advice on getting some RS chain instead of the crap safety chain he was running.

Black locust I had to buck up myself and that killed my already ailing back on 10-26.

I figured out what's causing my back issues. Lack of lumbar support on my desk chair. I switched chairs to one meant for drumming actually but has a great low lumbar seat back versus the high back chair I had before. Instantly felt better. I am kicking myself for not figuring this out earlier.

First pic is what I left behind for my neighbor to scoop up.

This is the truckbedful I took home.

Gotta love that score. Cherry and black Locust are my favorites for smell and heat respectively.

    Nice grab on the wood!

Can you post a pic of the new chair? The wife sits at a desk a lot, and will soon be full time at home working remote. She's complained many times about her chair...

This is not meant for desk work per se - it's made for drumming. That said, words can't describe how much it helped me in 5 minutes.

I got mine with the seat back and the MP (massive package) package. No embroidery on mine.

    Wow, nice on both accounts.
Great score, and a chair that does your back no harm.
I hope youre able to get out and split without splitting pain!

A nice embroidered pile of splits, Stihl, or FHC wood have been stylish.

Those 2 species are primarily what I scrounge. I'll take that any day of the week.
